Labor Day by Joyce Maynard

Bittersweet, sad and unpredictable. It tells a story of how the life of a 13 year old boy was
changed in six days. Henry, raised by his mother Adel, a lonely women who has been isolating herself since her divorce meets Frank, a fugitive.  The six days with Frank affected Henry and his mother the rest of their lives.  Great read!  This was chosen for the December evening book club at the library.  -- submitted by Michelle
