Be Frank With Me by Julia Claiborne Johnson

Whew! This is turning out to be an excellent year of good books. That, or I'm just getting better at picking them out.
In this story Alice has been sent by her employer (Mr. Vargas) to assist a writer under contract (M.M Banning) finish a novel. Little did she know when she accepted the job that she would become nanny to an incredibly odd genius of a 10 year old boy named Frank. Talkative, endearing, frustrating Frank is socially inept, brimming with facts about anything, and constantly on the move. He loves watching old movies and dresses like the characters in them. His worn out mother Mimi has her own issues along with her mysterious friend Xander who comes and goes.
Who and where is Frank's father? Will Mimi finally get the book written?
I recommend this book!
